Maria has significant experience in Data Privacy and Protection, Compliance and Commercial Law. She is a certified DPO and member of the Athens Bar Association. She has worked as an in-house legal counsel for an international corporation. She has advised prominent management consulting firms, private equity firms and corporate entities on data privacy and compliance matters.

Throughout her career, Maria has developed a comprehensive expertise in data privacy management, having coordinated initiatives to embed privacy by design, conducted risk-based audits and overseen global compliance programs. She has delivered privacy training to international teams, shaped privacy policies and handled complex privacy matters, including data subject requests and data breach management. Her experience extends across multiple industries and jurisdictions, ensuring that organizations remain compliant with evolving global privacy regulations.

During her postgraduate studies, she has gained knowledge of European and International Law, with a focus on International Business Transactions.
