Melina Koumpou is a Greek-qualified lawyer and a member of the Athens Bar Association. She holds a Law degree from the Democritus University of Thrace, a Master’s degree in Human Rights Law from the University of Strasbourg, and an MSc in Law and Information & Communication Technologies from the University of Piraeus, where she focused on data protection and artificial intelligence. She is also a certified Data Protection Officer (DPO).

Melina has experience in legal research, regulatory compliance, and privacy advisory work, with a particular focus on data protection law, digital regulation, artificial intelligence, and human rights. She has collaborated with international and European partners on legal and policy projects and previously served as a Trainee Lawyer at the Legal Council of the State, Ministry of Finance.

At PrivIntelligent, Melina works on privacy, AI governance, and digital compliance projects, supporting organisations with regulatory assessments, internal compliance programmes, privacy documentation, and the interaction between emerging technologies and EU regulatory requirements, including the GDPR and the AI Act.
