Evangelos Katsaras and team, played a vital role in assisting a multinational Pharmaceutical company in establishing and launching a Privacy Management Platform on a global scale in order to:

• identify and record all the business processes that involve personal data processing;
• assess the risk of the respective business processes and conduct the appropriate assessments (PIA/DPIA/TIA);

Our team performed the following actions:

• collaborated in the Platform’s configuration to fit the client’s specific needs;
• assisted in shaping the content and structure of the relevant assessments/questionnaires;
• developed and delivered the respective Trainings to privacy network and various business teams involved;
• oversaw the local implementation of the Platform.

In doing so, our team participated in a series of meetings with the Privacy Management Platform support team, the Client’s Global Privacy Office, and the representatives of the Client’s business units/functions to identify the client’s specific needs and risks with a focus on not only ensuring the privacy compliance but also avoiding duplication of work and enhancing efficiency.

Successful completion of the identified actions by the project team resulted in the initial establishment of the Data Record and thus, enabled the client to gain comprehensive understanding of the personal data processed and to be ready to appropriately react in case of future data breaches and privacy requests made by individuals and/or authorities.
